Retro'98
A Windows 98 desktop portfolio template for developers, designers and creatives, with a CMS-powered showcase built in Framer.
About Retro'98
Retro'98 turns the Windows 98 desktop into a working portfolio. Visitors land on a boot-style terminal screen, press Enter, and arrive at a classic desktop complete with taskbar, window chrome and pixel icons, where an in-window site holds the about panel, project gallery and contact details.
The showcase runs on a CMS, so work can be added and updated without touching the retro shell. Pixel and terminal-style display faces pair with a clean body font, and the layout adapts across desktop and tablet widths, though the desktop view is recommended for the full effect.

The boot screen prompts visitors to press Enter to load the website and offers a press F to pay respects easter egg.
Handjet, VT323 and Inter are declared in the stylesheet, pairing terminal-style display typography with a conventional sans-serif family. Blue title bars, gray window frames and a pale blue cloud background reproduce a desktop interface. Profile information and project previews sit inside layered window panels.
A CMS-powered portfolio lets owners update projects and content with ease, without rebuilding the desktop interface.
Project showcasing is managed through a built-in CMS designed to simplify content management for the portfolio.
The template is built for Framer and presents its portfolio through a Windows 98-inspired desktop interface.
