Primarium
A personal writing theme with handwriting-inspired type and the visual rhythm of a lined notebook.
About Primarium
Primarium gives poetry, journals, and reflective essays the appearance of a personal notebook. Playwrite US Modern supplies its handwriting-inspired letterforms, while a lined-paper background and restrained palette make the writing the dominant element.
The typeface comes from a project documenting handwriting taught in primary schools around the world. A limited type scale follows the notebook grid, with modest changes between body text and titles. Block editing and style variations allow the presentation to be adapted.

The notebook line grid aligns body text and modestly scaled titles. Blog and doodle category links organize the writing and illustrations.
Playwrite US Modern is used throughout the demo. A lined-paper background, restrained palette, and limited type scale create a notebook-style presentation. Blue lettering sits on an off-white ruled background, with a red margin line and loosely spaced columns for post titles, excerpts and small illustrations.
WordPress full-site editing and style variations support changes to the theme’s typography, colors, and block layouts.
