BG Remover
A free Framer plugin that removes image backgrounds locally in the browser and replaces the selected image with a transparent PNG.
About BG Remover
BG Remover works on an image layer or a frame with an image fill, keeping the operation inside the canvas workflow. After processing, it replaces the selected image rather than requiring a separate download and reimport.
The AI model runs on the device, so images are not sent to an external server. The first use includes a model-loading step; subsequent operations reuse the locally available processing setup.
Plugin details
Select an image layer or image-filled frame, open the plugin and click Remove Background.
Removes the background and replaces the selected image automatically.
An existing image becomes a transparent PNG.
Uses the on-device @imgly/background-removal library inside Framer.
Processing runs in the browser without image uploads; the local model must load on first use.
Free to use, with no subscription, API key or credits required.
